“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
(Philippians 4:6 ESV)
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
(2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV)
I was looking through some things and saw this. “What do you need that you do not already have with Jesus?” I started thinking about that. I have a home. I would like a bit bigger one so I could have a craft room. But this apartment fits my immediate needs of a roof over my head.
I could use a new car. I have a car and it is running. It’s a really old car and needs a facelift, but it runs. Finances could be better, but Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (ESV). So why worry about it?
Worrying about things doesn’t get you anything except anxious and ulcers. I can do without both.
I have heard several different pastors in my lifetime say to take your petitions to God and lay them before Him. I have done that before, and things changed. Maybe it’s time I did it again. God has His hand on everything except maybe autocorrext. Maybe it’s just my typing. But God has it under control if we let Him. But we have to let Him have control. Total control.
You can’t say, “God I give you control over my life except for….” You have to give Him total control and actually mean it. So the next time your life is spiraling out of control, give it to God. He already has everything you need anyway. Why not trust Him for everything?
Have a blessed day, everyone.
