“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2 ESV)

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please, man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10 ESV)

I was watching a movie called Life Changes Everything. These words were spoken and touched my heart:

“The message of Christ is about forgiveness and the promise of redemption. It’s not real love to just love the unlovable. Real charity means loving those who hurt us the most. Accepting Christ into your life isn’t just saying a few words. It’s living your life in a way that will draw others to Him. It’s living His words. Jesus made the choice to forgive His abusers while on the cross. He said, ‘Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.’ (Luke 23:34 ESV)”

Can you love someone who hates you? Jesus did. Those soldiers cast lots for His clothes while He hung on the cross. I want that kind of love. I want Jesus to shine through me so others can see the perfect love of our Savior. I want to be a beacon to guide others to the true light of salvation. I can’t do it alone. I need the help of my Savior to guide me. I hope you will be a beacon so others will see the light and find their way home.
