“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.”
(Job 8:21 ESV)
“But the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming.”
(Psalm 37:13 ESV)
Have you ever heard a good joke or saw something funny and started laughing as hard as you could? Felt pretty good didn’t it?
There’s a song called Jesus Laughin’ by Mark Lowry:
“I see Him laughin, our Lord is laughin.
Jesus Laughin’ by Mark Lowry
His head thrown back with joy upon His lovin face.
I’ll lay down my burdens and feel it happen.
An everlasting peace with Jesus laughin.
I’ll join His angels singin and clappin.
The victory won with me and Jesus laughin.”
What a thought. To be in heaven beside Jesus laughing. To know my race is over and I won. I’m in heaven beside my savior.
Laughing is good for us. It’s like milk. “It does a body good!” Besides, who wants to go around all day with a frown on their face. Smile! Make people wonder what you’re up to. Then tell them.
I’m practicing for when I get to heaven. There’s no sadness in heaven so frowns are not allowed.
Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are going to heaven? Not sure? Then say this prayer, mean it then tell someone you just gave your life to Jesus:
“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Sinner’s Prayer
Did you pray it? Did you mean it? If you answered yes to the questions, welcome to the family of God. I will see you in heaven when our time here is done.
I have to admit, I am looking forward to leaving this world when my time is done. I have no desire to stick around. So I encourage you to spread the word, Jesus is coming back soon. Get ready.
Have a great day.
