“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
(Romans 15:4 ESV)
The men I have known throughout the years have been notorious about not reading instructions. I have seen my Mom with instructions in her hand while my Dad tried to put something together. She kept asking if he wanted her to read them. When he got frustrated and walked away, Mom or I would put it together after reading the instructions.
Have you ever gotten frustrated in your walk with God? Did you try reading the instructions? The Bible is our instruction book, in case you didn’t know. God gave us the instruction book to help us navigate this life. He wants us to read it and follow the instructions in it.
The Bible has what we need to live our lives for God. He gave us the keys to a successful life but we need to follow the instructions. So open your Bible and start reading. If you haven’t opened your Bible in awhile, dust it off and start reading.
Here’s the instructions:
- Find a comfortable chair.
- Pick up your Bible and dust it off if needed.
- Open the front cover.
- Pick a place to start. The beginning is always a good choice.
- Start reading.
So there you have it. You just read the instructions on how to read the Bible. Enjoy it and have a great day.
