Walking by Faith

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 ESV)

With all that is going on in the world, it’s no wonder faith is being stretched thin. Is your faith as strong as it should be? Mine has been tested recently but I think I passed. I was reading my Bible yesterday morning when a dear friend popped into my mind. I had an overwhelming urge to pray for them. So I did. I laid my Bible down and prayed. I prayed for a few minutes, then tried to go back to my reading. God said not yet. Keep praying. I don’t know why I had to pray for them but I just know I did. So by faith, I started praying. I was standing against something. I was fighting a battle for them.

I don’t know what was going on but I texted later and they were alright. But I just had to pray by faith. Jesus met me this morning and kept encouraging me to keep praying.

It always surprises me when I’m praying in tongues and I get angry. I asked God about that one day. He said I am doing battle. I am putting the devil in his place. I like that thought. He needs to he put in his place. So while I was praying this morning, I got angry. But shortly after a peace fell over me. I think I might have won that particular battle.

But if I wasn’t walking in faith, I don’t believe I would have been able to do it.

So I want to encourage you all today. Build up your faith. Get your faith walk in full gear and go out and fight those battles!

Have a blessed day everyone and stay safe and warm.
