Depend on God

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” (Proverbs 16:9 NIV)

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 NIV)

While sitting and relaxing after attending my granddaughters wedding yesterday, I saw this on Facebook:

“Reasons Why I Depend on God:
1. Because everything else I tried to do myself….failed.
The End.”

How many of us can say that? I think pretty much all of us.

I know I have tried to solve things on my own, sometimes successfully, but most of the time not so much. I have found that if I just have patience and a tiny bit of faith, my problems are worked out way better than if I had tried to solve them on my own.

But here’s the problem. We hand things over to God. Tell him to fix this for us please. But then we snatch our problem back and attempt to fix it because it is taking too long. Well, news flash people, our timing is not the same as God’s timing. You see his timing is so much better than ours. God is never late. He is always right on time.

So if you have problems, give them to God, walk away and leave them there. Don’t look back, don’t go back and get them. Depend on God to take care of them for you. He will, if you let Him.

And that’s our problem, we don’t let Him. God wants our problems, He wants to fix things for us. So whatever your problem, give it to God and walk away from it. Let Him have time to fix it for us.

God loves you. Trust Him and depend on Him.

Have a blessed day everyone.
