“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are those who wait for him.” (Isaiah 30:18 NIV)
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.” (2 Timothy 1:9 NIV)
I once was lost but now I’m found. And only by the amazing grace of God.
There’s a song by Citizen Way called How Sweet the Sound. Here is part of it:
“Amazing grace how sweet the sound
I hear You singing over me
I once was lost but now I’m found
And it’s beautiful
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
It covers every part of me
My soul is silent,
I am found
And it’s a beautiful sound
It’s a beautiful, beautiful sound.”
Isn’t that nice to know? God sings over us. Think about it. He loves us enough to sing over us.
But the amazing thing, at least to me, is that he loves us enough to extend his grace to us. We really don’t deserve it. But he gives it freely to us. To us, sinners from day one.
I don’t care how sanctified you think you are, you are still a sinner. But through God’s grace, we can repent of our sins and God will forgive us. Time after time after time, God gives us grace to get it right. Will we ever get it right? Probably not. But repent and enjoy God’s grace.
Amazing grace how sweet the sound. I hear you singing over me. So I encourage you today to enjoy time with God and enjoy his amazing grace today.
Have a blessed everyone.
