“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 NIV)
At this point in my life I feel that I am now ready to share my testimony with everyone.
God’s promise to his people is ALWAYS “Yes” and “Amen,” therefore we understand that all the promises of the Bible are for us as believers. God will do what He said He will do, if we live according to His Word.
As a child, I had a desire to serve God and especially to tell others about Jesus and His Kingdom. I wanted desperately to do all that I could for the Lord!
I grew up, got married and had a son. This prevented me from doing many things for the Lord, because my son was young and I had to take care of my family. At the time I did not know about finding ministry on the “fairly new” internet and how it could be used to reach others in remote or distant parts of the world. God, knowing my heart, guided me on an on-line journey for what I wanted and needed to investigate.
I came across many prayer ministries as I was browsing the internet one afternoon, and I was immediately drawn to ‘Answers2prayer.Org.’ I was excited with the possibility of becoming involved with the Answers2prayer (A2P) ministry, and in 2003, I committed myself as a Prayer Warrior.
When I joined this ministry, I did not know
much about computers, hence I did not know how to communicate with other
people through this newly discovered medium. Neither did I own a laptop
or desktop computer. Despite all of these obstacles, I decided to serve
the Lord with all my heart.
Despite the fact that
I was a very busy mom, I remained resolute in my decision to be a part
of A2P. I informed the founder of that ministry that I had a strong
desire to serve, but did not know how because I had no access to a
computer. He encouraged me to focus on praying for the many prayer
requests that were submitted to the ministry. He stood by me as a mentor
and encouraged me as I learned to intercede in prayer for others.
In the beginning, I would go to an internet cafe to perform my ministry duties. God knew that my heart desired to serve Him, and He patiently led the way. The Holy Spirit helped me to invest my time wisely, giving me the wisdom to grasp everything quickly.
I would wait until my husband went off to work and my son to school, then I would venture to the internet cafe so that I could respond to prayer requests and follow up on those I was previously engaged in. Eventually, God blessed me with a laptop, allowing me to spend even more time ministering. I began to see that the more I invested my time and energy for God, in study, prayer and worship, the more God began to bless me and my family. I experienced the faithfulness of God in my life and in the lives of others through answered prayers.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 became real for me: “But
this I say: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who
sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he
purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you,
that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an
abundance for every good work.” (NKJV)
Today, my son is
18-years-old. He has committed his life to Jesus, and he attends a Bible
college part-time and is a university student. God also gave me the
opportunity to join a Bible college part-time, where I can study His
Word with instruction and partner in fellowship. I am now better
equipped to be able to share the gospel with people I meet.
During this period I also had some serious
health issues from which God supernaturally healed me. Praise God! In
2017, I found out that I have thyroid issues. The doctor insstructed me
to take a pill every morning, and with some reluctance, I finished a
therapy of two bottles of pills. Then one day, the Holy Spirit strongly
urged me to pray for my healing. He reminded me of Exodus 15:26: “If you
diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in
His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I
will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the
Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” (NKJV). I claimed this
verse and stopped taking the medication. After a month, I went to the
doctor for my follow-up thyroid test, and he found that all thyroid
issues had disappeared! Hallelujah!
Today as I look upon
my life, I can truly witness to having experienced God’s faithfulness.
If you hear His call, I would strongly urge you to be equally faithful
and follow His steps. He will take care of your needs and those of your
family. Our job is to be obedient to His commands. I encourage you to
make Jesus your priority and to give your best to Him…your time, your
health, your talent, etc. He will surely bless you abundantly.
“May I never boast except in the cross of our
Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and
I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14 NIV).
Remember, no matter
what your heart years for, there is ALWAYS Hope in Jesus Christ our
Lord!
