Circle of Faith

The child looks at you with large trusting eyes and believes you can right the wrongs in his world and help him survive life’s pitfalls. You look to an unseen Lord and pray he’ll guide you from missteps in your life, just as your child does with you.

Most people think of faith in connection with religion and a belief in a higher being who has influence in their lives. However, faith may wear many faces as we journey through life. We may experience faith at different levels with different people.

On the highest level it’s faith or belief in a higher being who has influence in our lives.

Another level exists of faith in our parents, faith they will care for us and love us.

As we grow up and marry, we express faith in a spouse who will complement our life and be our companion.

Throughout our lifetime, there is faith in friends and their friendship to see us through joys and challenges.

To complete the circle, we need faith in ourselves, to achieve, to love, to help, to encourage, and to overcome, with the Lord’s help, whatever we face in life.
