Restacking the Mess

I am currently hanging my daily work cap in a warehouse. I have no doubt that you can picture that environment in your mind. A forklift. Shelves stuffed with boxes and racks of marketable knickknacks that supply a wide range of customers all needing their orders neat and organized and delivered on time. Welcome to my world. Now that I’ve shared my vocation with you, you’re going to see where I’m going with this.

Warehouses aren’t always neat and tidy places like you might think. On days when a truck arrives and pallet after pallet of stock is unloaded and randomly placed hither and thither, the storage bunker can very quickly resemble a house inhabited by a squad of trapped moose! I’m sure you get the idea. Sometimes our personal and spiritual lives become just as gunky if we don’t take strides to mentally and physically gussy up. Let’s face it—our existence can become topsy-turvy and we occasionally need someone (like me) to come in and sort-out, re-stack, sweep the floors and assist with getting a handle on the worry, anxiety, fear and stress we often carry with us.

Having said that, no, I’m not actually for hire, but I will pray for you! I do however know somebody who is there to reshape and transform your messy life’s warehouse whenever you need them to, and all at no charge! In fact, this individual is so entirely vested in your well-being that He gave his life for you—also at no cost. He even rose from the grave and is very much alive and well to handle absolutely everything and anything you can throw at Him.

Listen to this my friend. YOUR LIFE IS NEVER TOO MESSY FOR GOD!

Jesus Christ is able to make old things new again and restore your unorganized pallets into things of beauty. You can bring your dirt, your failures and your scarlet sins to the foot of the cross. Jesus can be trusted with all your weakness and mess and overflowing baggage. All you need to do is to invite Him into your life and heart and messy circumstances.

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NIV)

“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9 NLT)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 ESV)

Similar to the sometimes-pell-mell warehouse in which I work, my own life can get pretty out of sorts if I don’t tidy up. I need to pray more, read my bible more and lean on the free gift of Salvation through Jesus my Lord. If your warehouse needs a full revamp, then call out to the Lord and watch him work!

Trust me, He’s the best warehouse guy you’ll ever know, bar none.
