Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
(Ephesians 4:32 ESV)
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
(Luke 6:35 ESV)
Thank you. Such small words but such a big meaning.
According to AI Overview, Kindness is defined as “a benevolent and helpful action intentionally directed toward another person or living creature, driven by genuine warm feelings and the desire to improve their well-being rather than seeking personal reward.”
Thank you, or even just “thanks.” That little word can diffuse angry situations. It can soothe hurt feelings. One little thank you said in such a way as to actually thank someone can make a person proud of the job they did. One little thank you can cause people to be willing to do more to help you. Especially if they know you appreciate their effort.
Do you thank people? Or do you just expect people to do things willingly for you? How do you feel when you go out of your way to do something and the person just walks away? I don’t expect to always be thanked for every little thing I do. But occasionally it is nice to hear that little word. It makes your effort worthwhile.
So the next time someone does something for you, thank them. It could just brighten their day a little.
Right now I want to thank everyone who reads my almost daily messages. Without you, I wouldn’t be doing this. So, thank you for taking the time to read and sometimes comment on them. And don’t forget to thank God for all He has done for you. Even God likes to hear thank you.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
