A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

(Proverbs 15:1 ESV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

(Galatians 5:22-23 ESV)

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

(Romans 8:25 ESV)

What is patience? To me it’s not getting angry or frustrated when things go wrong. According to Merriam-Webster, patience is ” the ability to accept obstacles or delays in a calm and self-possessed way. The ability to act with calm or restraint under provocation or strain. The ability to persevere over a long period of time despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity.”

Are you a patient person? I am usually but some people just get on my last nerve. But I’m working on it. I’ve had a lot of help with it though. Jesus has been helping me. He reminds me to take a deep breath before I respond in anger. It usually helps. Jesus is clearly the best help I could ever get.

Next time you get angry or frustrated, call on Jesus for help. Take a deep breath and think before you respond in anger. It might not be as bad as you think.

Have a fabulous day, everyone.
