Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

(Matthew 28:20 ESV)

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

(Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV)

For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.

(Psalm 27:10 ESV)

Everyone feels lonely occassionally. I know I do. I live alone and have people all around me but I  still feel lonely at times. I believe its  important to check on each other. Make sure they are alright.

In a sea of people, loneliness is running rampant. Just ask a person who lost their spouse. People living in nursing homes, or parents who have become empty nesters. It doesn’t take but a few minutes to pick up a phone and check on someone. Stop in and check on someone.

Ask yourself how you would feel if you were all alone. Would you welcome a phone call or a visit? I do. I have family all around, I watch two of my great grandkids, but I still get lonely. We all do from time to time. Go check on someone, take a plate of cookies and talk to them about Jesus. They may be searching and not know how to go forward.

If you open the door, Jesus will help you with the rest. Except maybe cookies. That would be up to you. So I want to encourage everyone today, check on each other. You never know who is lonely and needs someone to talk to.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
