In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
(Psalm 4:8 ESV)
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30 ESV)
Yesterday was a day of rest for me. I crafted some, talked to God some and basically got some rest. The day before was a busy day for me. By the time I was done, I was really tired. It doesn’t help that I am fighting a sinus infection.
But all that aside, it was a good day. We all need to rest from time to time. What do you do on the times you need to rest? Do you sleep? Do you actually rest or do you still do things? For me, I have to be doing something. I need to keep my hands busy.
But no matter if I am resting or busy, I always have time for Jesus. Jesus makes time for me so its only right I make time for Him. He is always here for me. He takes care of me even if I don’t think I need Him. The best way to rest and recharge is to rest in the arms of Jesus. There is no better way to get rest than in the arms of our loving Savior. Try it sometime. You can find sweet rest in the loving arms of Jesus.
Have a blessed day.
