Pray! Pray! Pray!

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

(Mark 11:24 ESV)

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

(Romans 8:26 ESV)

I was looking at the magnets on my fridge the other day while waiting for my lunch to get warm. I saw the one that said PUSH:

P-pray
U-until
S-something
H-happens

I started thinking about that. Do I pray until something happens? Or do I pray then quit before something happens? I do believe, unfortunately, I fall into the second category. But then I believe we all have at times.

Why do we do it? I can’t answer for you but for me, I have no excuse except laziness. When I don’t get an answer right away, I tend to give up. I like to see results immediately. Whether I am crafting or praying, I want to see immediate results. I’ve always been that way. I need to practice patience. I need to let God work it out.

God knows what I need before I do. He also has everything worked out way before I need it. But do I wait for God? Sometimes I do and things work out great. But the times I get impatient and try to work things out on my own, it doesn’t always work out. There have been times when God let me work it out on my own. But it makes me wonder what would have happened if I had just waited.

I advise you that the next time you have a problem, be patient and let God work it out for you.

Have a fabulous day.
