Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord,  and on his law he meditates day and night.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Sometimes we forget how Blessed we are. My hot water works, I have food to eat, clothes to wear, and a car that runs. I can still, almost, afford eggs and I have clean sheets on my bed. I have family and friends who love me and I woke up today in my right mind. If that’s not blessed, I don’t know what is.

Do you know what a blessing is? According to Oxford Languages, a blessing is “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” Does that sound like God? I think it does. I mean, God is generous and considerate. He is also friendly. He loves to talk to His kids.

Have you ever needed something and had no way to get it? But then it just shows up? Think that might be a blessing? God is still working miracles and sending blessings. He hasn’t stopped and won’t until all His kids are home with Him. So don’t stop asking and don’t stop expecting. God wants to bless His kids.
