Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
(Colossians 3:23 ESV)
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
(Ephesians 4:28 ESV)
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17 ESV
Have you ever asked someone for help and they said, “Of course I will!” But what happens when you ask them to do something for God? Is their response still, “Of course I will!”? Or is it, “…well … maybe… I think I have something already planned.”
God has jobs for us all. He wants us to spread His word to the lost and backslidden. Do you think He is happy when He hears, “… well … maybe …”? I don’t think He is very happy about it. But since we all have free will, He knows it’s our choice to serve Him or not. If you decide not to serve Him it’s your choice.
I don’t know about you, but I want more of God. I can’t take a step without Him holding my hand.
According to AI Overview, “Working for God” generally refers to doing your work with a focus on serving God, reflecting His character, and seeking to glorify Him in all you do. It’s about approaching your work with integrity, diligence, and a recognition that your work is a means of serving God’s will, whether that’s in a religious context or in your everyday life.”
I am not perfect, I am still learning. But I want to please God with my words and actions. Do I always succeed? No! But I repent. I ask for forgiveness. And I am forgiven.
So how about you? Are you doing all you can for God? Are you in the “… well … maybe …” group? Think about it.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
