Because He Lives

Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

(John 14:19 ESV)

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

(Galatians 2:20 ESV)

Today is Easter Sunday. Jesus came out of the tomb He was buried in. He rose from the dead. Jesus died so we could live. He hung on the cross to take our sins. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us. He died a horrible death.

Here’s a more detailed look at what happened on Good Friday:

1.. Crucifixion: Jesus was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by crucifixion.

2. Suffering: He endured a painful death on the cross, suffering for hours before succumbing.

3. Darkness: Darkness is said to have covered the land during the period of Jesus’s agony on the cross.

4. Burial: After his death, Jesus was buried, and He rose from the dead three days later.

He rose from the grave 3 days after dying. But the thing to remember, He lives!!

“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!”
(Because He Lives by the Gaithers.)

Happy Easter! Take some time to today to thank Jesus today for His sacrifice for you.

Have a good day, everyone.
