“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
(James 5:16 ESV)
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.”
(1 Timothy 2:1 ESV)
I love the song, “Somebody Prayed” by Crowder:
“For the child of God that’s far from home.
The one who thinks they’re too far gone.
I’m throwing out another prayer in faith.
Worn-out altars, tear-stained pews.
Still, I won’t give up on you.
I believe that anything can change when somebody prays.”Somebody Prayed by Crowder
Prayer changes everything. The Bible says in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them.” (ESV)
I pray for people and people pray for me. Do I really think God hears or cares about me? Absolutely! He hears every prayer and sees every tear shed. He cares so much about us. He will move heaven and earth if needed for us. There have been times when I had a bill staring me in the face, or I needed gas in my car or whatever. I cried out to God. He heard and sent supernatural help. I have had finances come from people I don’t know. Or from places far away. I opened my mailbox, and there’s a check for the amount I needed. I tell you, my friend, it’s a God thing. There are times I don’t tell anyone, and it just shows up because I prayed.
There was a time many years ago I was sick. Had been sick for several days. My parents went to church. I didn’t know they requested prayer for me. I started feeling better. When my parents got home, I found out the church prayed for me.
Somebody prayed. Are you that somebody? Or are you the one who always wants prayer but doesn’t really believe you can be healed by prayer? Instead of being that person, be the somebody that prays. Be that somebody that can move mountains with prayer.
Have a great day, everyone.
