“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
(James 1:12 ESV)
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
(Psalm 103:2 ESV)
There’s a song called, “Still Counting My Blessings” by Seph Schlutyer:
“One, two, three
(Still Counting my Blessings by Steph Schlutyer)
Up to infinity.
I’d run out of numbers.
Before I could thank You for everything.
God, I’m still counting my blessings.
All that You’ve done in my life.
The more that I look in the details
The more of Your goodness I find.
Father on this side of Heaven,
I know that I’ll run out of time.
But I will keep counting my blessings.
Knowing I can’t count that high.”
God has been so good to me. Have I got everything I need or want? No. But that doesn’t matter. I am still counting my blessings. God blesses us all the time just by allowing us to wake up each day. There are so many blessings that we don’t even know of.
Have you ever had problems just getting out of the house to go to work? Maybe that was God delaying you just enough to avoid an accident. Think about it. Every morning, you are on time or early, but this one time. Maybe you misplaced your keys or your cell phone. Or your car took a little longer to start. It could have been a God thing, saving you a bigger problem down the road. God will use things like that to save you from problems. I love it when God saves me from trouble. I really don’t need extra issues in my life.
So, if you are having a problem, count your blessings. Blessings will far outweigh any problem you may have.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
