Have you ever needed a helping hand? Did someone help you? I needed a helping hand yesterday evening. I have an electric recliner. It doesn’t work too well when the power is out. Well, the power went off yesterday for a while. I tried my best to get out of that chair, but I just couldn’t do it without the chair tipping over. I wasn’t hurt but just needed a helping hand to get off the floor. A short wait and help arrived. The ambulance crew helped me up and didn’t even do paperwork on it, so I won’t be billed.

God loves it when we help others. He loves to see His kids helping others. 

These are some things I was to improve on this year.

1. Be more friendly to strangers. Saying hi, how are you doesn’t cost anything and it sometimes makes that person smile.
2. Sharing what I have with those less fortunate than me more. God has blessed me with resources that make it easy for me to share food with others. 
3. Be more kind and caring. 
4. Be more sympathetic to others. 
5. Last but not least, spend more time with God.

These are all easy goals and doesn’t cost an arm  and a leg to do. What are your goals for this year? 

Goals give us something to look forward to. Just don’t make those goals too difficult or you might give up on them.
