“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
(2 Corinthians 9:6 ESV)
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”
(Galatians 6:7 ESV)
It rained torrents all day yesterday. I was out and about a couple of times and was very thankful to whoever invented the umbrella.
I was waiting to pick up my two grandkids after school. I saw a lady walking towards my car. She always walks her kids to and from school. We greet each other, but that’s about it. I have offered her rides, but she declines. She was walking with a rain poncho on and using a child size umbrella. I knew her kids would be under the umbrella on the way home. I felt God nudge me. Give her your umbrella. Without hesitation, I reached down and picked up my wet umbrella. When she got even with my car, I handed it to her. I told her she needed a bigger umbrella. I got the biggest smile, and thank you from her.
It felt so good to sow into her. It wasn’t a lot, but it doesn’t matter. I obeyed God and sowed it to her. I’m not saying this to make you think I’m a great person. I’m using it as an example.
With things the way they are now days, it’s hard to sow money. At least it is for me. But there are other things you can sow.
Food is a good thing to sow. I do that a lot. I have food, so if I see a need, I will search my pantry and freezer and share.
You can always sow time. My mom would take time to help someone. She would sew for people because she loved to sew.
There are so many opportunities to sow into someone. So if you see a need, sow into it. God will reward you for it.
Have a great day, everyone.
