What are you reading? What do you watch? Both are good questions.

There are good and not so good books, and books Christians should stay away from out there. There are some not so good books that encourage young kids to believe in magic and sorcery. Whatever happened to Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys books? Growing up, I loved Nancy Drew. Clean wholesome series.

Television shows can be just as bad. Gone are the days the whole family gathered in front of the TV and parents didn’t worry about the shows.

Friends, we need to be extra careful of what we allow ourselves to read, listen to, or watch. The devil is on the prowl. He is looking to get anyone he can hooked on something so we don’t spend as much time, if any, with God. We need to put on the full armor of God and be on guard. We are living in the last days. Jesus is coming back to collect His people. We need to be ready. We will have to give an account of everything we did.

I want my account to be good. I don’t want to have to try to explain why I did something I did. So put on your armor, get your Bible out, and read and study. And keep your guard up against the devil.
