“Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
(Ephesians 2:20-22 ESV)
Have you ever attended a church, and you felt like you didn’t belong there? Or maybe you felt like you had finally come home?
Google defines church as “a building used for public Christian worship.” Not much of an explanation. Let me tell you what church is to me. If you are in the church God wants you in, it becomes family to you.
The church I am in is my family. August 7th will be 17 years that I have been going to New Beginnings Church. I have seen people come and people go. Some leave for the right reasons and some because they got offended about something or got their feelings hurt.
When people leave for the right reason, I rejoice with them. The right reason is that God is moving them on to something else. God will bless you if you leave for the right reason. But in my opinion, if you leave because of offense or hurt feelings, and you were not supposed to leave, I believe you are missing out on what God wants to do in your life.
I apologize now if I hurt your feelings or you take offense with this rambling. I write what God tells me to write. So, if you are planning on leaving your church, pray long and hard about it. Make sure you are doing the will of God and not listening to the devil tell you lies.
I ask God to bless each and every one of you reading this. If you left a church because of offense, hurt feelings or anger, pray, repent. Ask God for direction in what to do. If you left church because God is moving you, hallelujah! I rejoice with you and look forward to testimonies on how God is using you.
Have a blessed day. God loves you, and so do I. ❣️
