“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
(Romans 8:18 ESV)
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape that you may be able to endure it.”
(1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV)
This is not my original rambling, but God changed my mind. He said to share my recent feelings. So here goes.
I will admit it. I have been struggling the past couple of weeks. My shoulder has me limited on what I can do, and the pain makes me not want to do anything. I have learned I need help now when I didn’t before in doing simple things like showering. I have learned my limitations through trial and error. A whole lot of error that results in a lot of pain. I can’t even wash dishes without a new experience in pain. But I am praying this is temporary.
But one thing I have found that with pain, at least for me, comes depression. I have not been depressed since menopause 28 years ago. but God has a way out for me. He has this under control. I just need to stand against it and pray for peace. God did not create me to be depressed. He created me to shine my light so others find their way to Him.
Lately, my light has dimmed. But now that I see it, I can do something about it. I will work on making my light shine bright so others see it and come to know God. I want to encourage everyone to examine yourself. Is your light bright, or has it dimmed?
Have a great day, everyone.
