Weakest Link

by | Feb 19, 2024 | Dependency, Strength

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

(Philippians 4:13 ESV)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

(Isaiah 41:10 ESV)

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

(Isaiah 40:31 ESV)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”

(Ephesians 6:10 ESV)

I have always heard you are only as strong as your weakest link. That reminds me of a playground game, Red Rover.  Players would call for an opponent to run and try to break through your line, holding hands tightly. It seemed instinctive where you had to go to break their defensive line. You always looked for the weakest link. But if you are walking closely to Jesus, there is no weak link. Jesus has a tight hold on you, guarding you against the enemy, breaking through your defenses.

I was looking for scriptures about strength. I found a ton of them. Do you think God knows we are weak and we would need encouragement? Yep. So do I. So if you need strength, and who doesn’t from time to time, look up scriptures and start reading.

Have a great day, everyone.
