“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
(Proverbs 31:26 ESV)
“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.”
(Luke 6:35 ESV)
Google defines kindness as “the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.” Google defines wisdom as “the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.”
I have known kind and cruel people in my life. I prefer kind ones. I have also known very smart people and those who are dumb as a box of rocks. In fact, in some cases, the rocks were smarter. I was looking back on my life and noticed there were times when I was too kind, if that’s possible. I guess you could say I was gullible and believed every sob story that came along. But I quickly learned to watch out for people like that. The kind that takes and takes and takes until you are drained and have no more to give.
But God has given us all wisdom. He expects us to help others but not to let others take advantage of us. Wisdom comes with years. As young adults, some are just concerned with life. They want to go to work and make the big bucks.
But as we age, if you are smart, you will put aside money in case of emergencies. I put aside money when I can, and then some emergency comes along, and I have to use what was saved and usually then some. But God gave me wisdom to know that no matter what my bank account may look like, He provides for my needs. And I trust God to take care of me. Because that’s what living fathers do for their kids. God is the very definition of kindness. But He is also stern when He needs to be. But it’s ok. I know He loves me and wants me to be the best me I can be. So let God correct you when needed.
Have a great day, everyone.
