“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 3:11 ESV)
“He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it because it had been well built.”
(Luke 6:48 ESV)
According to google, a foundation is “the lowest load-bearing part of a building, typically below ground level.” Another definition is “an underlying basis or principle.”
We have been learning about foundations at church. We all have a foundation. It’s what we build it on that’s important. If we build our foundation on Jesus, we have a solid foundation. But if we build it on worldly principles, you might as well build a house on sand. It won’t stand the storms of life.
Jesus is our rock. He is our solid foundation. If we build on the principles of Jesus, the storms of life can blow all they want. Jesus is our rock, and we won’t crumble under pressure. Storms come, and I believe we will see a lot more and worse as we get closer to the end of time.
Are you ready? Is your foundation on the Rock or is it on sinking sand? Best to build on the Rock and be strong.
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
