“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21 ESV)
“Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10 ESV)
We were talking Tuesday night at church, and I realized the Covid was the best thing that happened to me. No, not that people got sick or died from it. I said “to me”.
During the lockdown, I drew closer to Jesus. My walk became stronger. I started writing devotionals. Now, if you have known me for a minute or two, you would know this isn’t like me. I don’t like to draw attention to myself. But God had other plans. He started me out slow, with just scriptures that if you wanted to know what it was, you had to look it up. Then, it expanded at the coaxing of a friend. She said to add what the verses said in case someone didn’t have their Bible handy. So I did. Then, with added encouragement, write a little something. So I did. I wasn’t very comfortable, but it was God’s way of dragging me into what I’m doing now.
Do I regret it? Absolutely not! I have to admit that, for the most part, it’s been fun. It usually is when you are doing the will of God. There are times when I want to give up. The devil tries to tell me that’s enough. You can quit now. But when I seek God’s face, He says, “Keep feeding my sheep. My children need to hear this.” So I go on.
When you’re doing anything for God, the devil will come full force at you trying to derail you. I’m telling you, push back. Don’t let the devil win even 1 inch.Don’t let the devil get to you. Kick him to the curb. You don’t have to live there. He has no authority over you. We win! It’s that simple. Soon, Jesus will be back, and the devil will be banished to the pits of hell for eternity. Don’t join him. Get yourself back into God’s will. Let the devil fry while you are in paradise.
Have a blessed day.
