“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence.”
(Samuel 22:3 ESV)
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
(Psalm 121:1-4 ESV)
We serve a mighty God. But I don’t have to tell you that.
We had a deliverance meeting Saturday. I got a few things cleared out. By the time I got home I was so tired. I went to bed early. I’m a night owl and was in bed at 8:15. I have been having issues sleeping. It felt like I was sleeping in the arms of God and the peaceful feeling continues.
There’s a Song by Francesca Battistelli called “Defender””
“And all I did was praise.
Defender by Francesca Battistelli
All I did was worship.
All I did was bow down, oh.
All I did was stay still.
Hallelujah, You have saved me.
So much better Your way.
Hallelujah, great Defender.
So much better Your way.”
God is our defender. And all we have to do is praise, all we have to do is worship. Just bow down to our King. He is there waiting for us. He is waiting for us to realize how much we need Him.
The last line says “so much better your way.” And it is. It is so much better when we do things God’s way. God has a plan for each of us and He will move heaven and earth for us if He needs to. But I say why make it hard? Let God have His way in your life. Let Him work it out for you. His way is so much better than ours anyway.
Have a great day everyone.
