“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
(Exodus 14:14 ESV)
“It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”
(Psalm 118:8 ESV)
Did you know God parted water 4 times for His children to cross on dry land? I didn’t.
In my research, I found out that some people count when God parted the water when He created the world. But here is what I found:
- God parted the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites (See Ex. 14:21-22). I knew this one but not the rest.
- God parted the Jordan River for Joshua and the Israelites (See Josh. 3:14-17).
- God parted the Jordan River for Elijah (See 2 Kings 2:8-9).
- God parted the Jordan River for Elisha (See 2 Kings 2:14).
I found this to be very interesting. But I got to thinking. If God did this for His children back then, how much more will He do for us? We have bridges so we don’t really need Him to part the water for us.
God is not a respecter of persons. He will do for you what He does for me and vice versa. What are you in need of? Do you need the seas to part? Do you just need to talk to God? He is there waiting for you. Just think, He loved the Israelites so much He parted the seas for them to cross on dry land. So just think what He will do for you.
Have a great day.
