“And he answering said, ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.'”
(Luke 10:27 KJV)
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
(Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)
I have battled weight, emotions and anger my entire life. But I have learned a lot on this journey.
The most important thing I have learned is it’s not about the journey. It’s about the lessons you learn and the people you take along.
My weight has been a life long struggle. The more I lost, the more I gained back. As of today I have lost 78 pounds. It will be a year in August. The person that has started this journey was me, but I am also bringing a great dietician along. She diagnosed me as insulin resistant, put me on meds and is helping me lose weight. But the most important person I am bringing on this journey is God.
November 2002, I rededicated my life to God. He has been with me every step of the way. Even when I wasn’t serving him like I should have been, he was there. God has taken away my anger, fear, anxiety and now my weight. God is so good. He is also a good companion. He watches over me and provides for my needs. He will do it for you too. Just say the word and He will take care of you. By the way, that word is yes.
Have a great day everyone!
