Choose Wisely

“Do not be deceived:Bad company ruins good morals.”

(1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV)

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.”

(Proverbs 19:20 ESV)

Saw this on Facebook yesterday:

“Hate has 4 letters, so does Love.
Enemies has 7 letters, so does Friends.
Lying has 5 letters, so does Truth.
Negative has 8, so does Positive.
Under has 5 letters, so does Above.
Cry has 3 letters, so does Joy.
Anger has 5 letters, so does Happy.
Right has 5 letters, so does Wrong.
Hurt has 4 letters, so does Heal.
It means life is like a double edged sword…
so transform every negative side into a positive side.
We should choose the better side of life.”

This is an example of choosing wisely. One word can cause deep hurt or immense joy. Our tongue can cut like a knife. We can cut a person deeply with our words.

We have choices in our lives. We can live in the world of negativity, the oh poor me club. Or we can choose joy. Joy is a much better place to live.

I used to be a very negative person. But things changed once I got myself back to church and serving God again. Peace and happiness is such a wonderful way to live. I look back and can’t believe how negative I was. If I could go back and change anything that would be it. But we can’t go back. We can only go forward. Forward for me leads me to my forever home with God.

Whatever is going on in your lives, choose correctly, choose joy. Don’t let negativity rule your life anymore. There are better things coming for you if you choose wisely and choose God. Have a great day.
