“And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
(Job 42:10 ESV)
“Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.”
(Ephesians 6:18 ESV)
Have you ever heard the phrase “Sweep it under the rug?” Or maybe I am showing my age again. This phrase usually means that you try to hide problems. When you sweep dirt under the rug, you are trying to hide it. But you are really just delaying the inevitable. If you ignore it long enough, you will end up with lumps under your rug. If you ignore problems long enough you develop ulcers and bigger problems.
It’s time we stop hiding. It’s time we start cleaning up our problems. The best way to do that is to start praying. Prayer is a powerful weapon.
This country has been hiding. We need to take it back. The only way to do that peaceful is to pray. Prayer not only clears things up, it makes you feel better. At least it does me. By praying for others or our country or even other countries, we open a direct line to heaven. We open a direct line to God.
I have said it before and I will say it again, God’s not on a party line, His line is never busy. No matter what time it is He will listen to your prayer. So no matter what is going on, pray. Pray in good times and bad. God will listen. Pick someone to pray for today. You never know what they are going through that they may need prayer for.
Have a great day.
