“Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29 ESV)
“If I say, ‘I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,’ there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in and I cannot.” (Jeremiah 20:9 ESV)
There’s a song by Unspoken called Start a Fire. This is part of it:
“You only need a spark to start a whole blaze
It only takes a little faith
Let it start right here in this city
So these old walls will never be the same
Over and over again I hear Your voice in my head
They need to know I need to go
Spirit won’t You fall on my heart now
Start a fire in my soul
Fan the flame and make it grow
So there’s no doubt or denying
Let it burn so brightly
That everyone around can see
That it’s You, that it’s You that we need
Start a fire in me.”
My desire is to be so on fire for God I can’t contain it.
That’s what we all need right now. We need fire starters and I don’t mean with matches. We need that inner fire burning in each of us. We need to go out and spread the gospel far and near. We need to start the fire of revival.
So how about it? Anyone want to join me? Let’s set the world on fire for God and see where it takes us. We only need one person fired up for God to start a revival that rivals the Azusa street revival years ago in California. Let’s see the miracles that were documented there. We could all use a good healthy dose of that. So let’s all get on fire for God. Let’s bring revival here.
