The Friendship Plant

by | May 22, 2020 | Friendship, Poem

You cant buy friendship
In a bargain basement store
It wouldn’t sit upon the scales
And the quality would be poor

It isn’t something you can wrap
Or tie with a pretty bow
In fact it takes a lot of effort
For this fragile plant to grow

But with an awesome lot of work
And some tender loving care
This plant will reach a decent size
And stand to blossom there

Then it should be capable
Of taking quite hard knocks
Even more amazing
It will grow between two rocks

So having done the spade work
Sit back for the reward
The blossom of this friendship plant
Created by the Lord

A blossom that will never fade
Whilst watered and tended true
There are millions of other blossoms
But this one grows for me and you
