When speaking in a normal fashion
and others are present, has it ever
occurred to anyone how many
times the word I or Me is used?
A hard habit to do something about,
I’ve found out!!
I work on it but it is not easily conquered!!

Why not stand aside today
To watch yourself go by.
Try thinking of yourself as we
Not simply just as I.
Confront and look upon yourself
Then, do squarely in the eye;
Convince yourself you’re not alone
When endeavors of you try.

If light be thrown upon a man
His shadow’s there to see;
It will precede or follow him
But can never set him free.
Thus so is God, as are these lights
While he sees fit to share with we
These betterments that surface;
When not claimed by you and me.
