Hi to everyone, Well it has been awhile since I have updated on Charity’s progress.
SHE IS WALKING WITH A WALKER.
Is that a miracle or what?
Just four months ago yesterday, we were told that your daughter has a broken neck and she is paralyzed below her shoulders. The next week we were told that she is an incomplete quadriplegic and may get just a little more movement in her arms, but expect the worst below that. The last of that week we went through, tests and got prepped for a heart operation. The next week she moved her arms and we wer told that she would be in her motorized telemetry (a rock back and forth) wheelchair to help with changing her positions for her. The next week we were told that we needed to plan to get a hoyer lift to lift her from the chair to the bed and from the bed to the chair etc.
All that was over a period of two months.
The next month the Lord came through for her and gave her a little more back.
The last month she has been working on walking on a walker and now crutches that work like a cane, and she has her left side back. She has really been working hard and surprised us two weeks ago and bent over and almost touched the ground and then came right back on her own. She went up and down a flight of steps two weeks ago also.
All of this to say PRAISE THE LORD, AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE PRAYERS.
I hope the next update will be from her.
She has finished her hospital stay at Shepherd last Friday. This was a sad thing for her as she will miss her friends that she made at Shepherd. She will be going down there starting next Tuesday for three days a week for two hours a day for out patient therapy. The Lord worked out a ride for her also. She is in a research program and they are going to track her progress for a year, so this will also be transportation. Who knows she may end up working at Shepherd eventually. They already call her their Social Bird. Wonder who she takes that after hahahaha
Bye for now, keep her in prayer, so she will be OK at home and I will be able to help her like I should, and Dennis can help me, and I won’t be ugly to them both haha.
