Five Things Jesus Did Not Say...

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6 ESV)

"Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.'” (John 8:58 ESV)

There are a few things the world teaches that Jesus didn't actually say...

1. Follow your heart:
What Jesus said: "Follow Me." -- "And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'” (Matthew 4:`9 ESV)

2. Be true to yourself.
What Jesus said: "Be true to God" -- "Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'" (Matthew 6:24 ESV)

3. Believe in yourself.
What Jesus said: "Believe in me." -- "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." (John 11:25-26 ESV)

4. Live your truth.
What Jesus said: "I am the truth." -- "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6 ESV)

5. As long as you are happy.
What Jesus said: "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?" (Mark 8:36 ESV)
