“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him’”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV)
“And he said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’”
(Luke 23:43 ESV)
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4 ESV)
Heaven. What a place. I am so looking forward to spending eternity there. Just think. No death, pain, sickness, unhappiness. Just eternity with Jesus.
What do you think heaven will be like? I think peace. I want peace. This world is going crazy quickly. I want peace. Not that I don’t have peace now, but it’s not the same as the heavenly kind. The kind where no stray thought comes to wreck your day. Or angry words and actions ruin your day. Not the kind where there is sickness and disease. Not the kind where you have to worry about what will happen if you let your kids go out by themselves.
When I was growing up back in the dinosaur age, I took off on my bike in the morning and knew I had to be home when the street lights came on. I know that even back then, there were problems, but we felt safe to be out playing. I want that kind of world again. And I will. In heaven. Except I won’t have to be home before the street lights come on because in heaven, there is no darkness.
I want to encourage you today. If you aren’t saved or if you are back slidden, repent and come back. Jesus is waiting with open arms and a home in heaven for you.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
