I Need, I Need

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

(2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV)

“I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.”

(Psalm 37:25 ESV)

It seems like everywhere I go, I hear someone say, “I need… but can’t afford it.” Believe me, I have been there. The price of things needed to sustain life has gotten expensive. But don’t worry. It will only give you an ulcer. God has it under control.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. There are things I need and want, but if I can’t afford it, I can live without it. God has a way of bringing things that just amazes me. Just when I feel like I’m going down for the third time, God sends what I need. He is amazing.

What’s that you say? God does it for me, but not you? Rubbish! If He does it for me, He will do it for you. God is no respect or of persons. He will do for you just as He does for me. God loves us and wants us to live the life He wants us to be living. Then why aren’t we? Because we let our greed get in the way. We either overextend our bank accounts or make bad decisions. We don’t have to live that way.

The verse to live by: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 ESV)

So then next time you start to say I need. Change it to God will supply all my needs. And then let Him figure it out. God is not broke: “For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.” (Psalm 50:10 ESV) So, if you need something, ask God for it. Leave it at His feet and walk away. Let Him work it out.

Have a great day, everyone.
