“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

(John 10:10 ESV)

How many times has something happened, and you said I can fix that? And how many times have you actually fixed it or made it worse?

I am not mechanically or technologically inclined. I am a hands-on learner but learned it takes longer than a few minutes now as I age. I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about very few things. But one thing I know and will confess until my dying day. God is King and still on the throne working for us.

God can fix things. God can fix everything if we let Him. But we have to be willing to let go of whatever and walk away, confident in the knowledge that He will take care of it. Will God fix it right away? Sometimes. But most of the time, He waits, hoping we will learn from it.

But do we learn from it, or do we worry and fret because He didn’t fix it right away? I would imagine that since we are only human, we tend to worry and fret over it. At least I have and do. But I’m learning. So the next time you say, “I can fix it!” Step aside and let God handle it instead.
