“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
(Psalm 9:10 ESV)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him, my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
(Psalm 28:7 ESV)
I trust God with all my heart. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have stepped out yesterday morning in faith and did what I did.
I do not like to draw attention to myself. It stems back to my childhood, and I’m not going into details. But I stepped out in faith and gave a short talk at church today. I had my speech all written out, but it didn’t go quite like I expected. I used my notes, but not nearly as much as I thought I would. You see, as I get older, things don’t stick in my brain like it did in my younger years. But God kept filling my mouth. Yes, it was on topic of what I was talking about, but not always what I had written down. God had better ideas than mine. He always does. And He was able to get them out because I trusted Him.
Things just seem to work out better when you trust God and let Him do things His way. His way is always better than yours anyway. Now that I know I can get in front of people and talk, maybe I will have the opportunity to do it again. Maybe God will give me something He wants people to hear and let me give it.
I used to be a very shy person. But I have been asking God to give me boldness, and He has. I go out in public and actually hold a conversation with a total stranger. I would not have done that a few years ago. But I trust God to protect me. I trust Him to show me people who need a kind word and a smile. He shows me who to sow into. He knows money is tight for me. But God has shown me that it doesn’t always have to be money. I sow things I have. Extra food, crafts I have made, clothes. Trust God to show you who and what to sow into.
Have a great day, everyone.
