“But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them. Please have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’”
(Luke 14:18-20 ESV)
“But Moses said to the Lord, ‘Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.’”
(Exodus 4:10 ESV)
Do you have an excuse for everything? Do you not want to do something and just make up an excuse as to why you “can’t” do it? When God calls you to do something, do you do it or start making excuses?
It’s never a good idea to make excuses to God.
Do you make excuses when asked if you’re saved? Why? Are you saved? Do you know where you are going when your time here is up? It’s time to stop making excuses. It’s time to dig in and do what is being asked of you. God has a plan for your life. Do you know what that plan is?
Google defines excuse as “an attempt to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offense); seek to defend or justify.”
Now is the time to stop making excuses and start walking the plan God has for you. Stop trying to justify your excuses. An excuse is not acceptable nowadays. There is no excuse for not being saved and walking in God’s plan. I want to encourage you today to stop with the excuses. Make your life count. Become one of God’s warriors.
Have a great day, everyone.
