Grave Robber

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

(Romans 6:23 ESV)

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

(Acts 4:12 ESV)

I was out and about yesterday afternoon when the song, “Grave Robber” by David Crowder came on. I had to look up the lyrics:

“I got stolen by the grave robber.
Picked me up from that rock bottom.
Washed my soul in that Holy water.
Brought me back to life.
One more stone rolled away.
One more sinner been saved by grace.
This dead man, he ain’t dead no longer.
All because of that grave robber.”

Grave Robber by David Crowder

I know a grave robber. Jesus robbed a couple of graves. Ok. Not necessarily directly from the grave, but they were dead. Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus after she died of a fever. He also raised the son of a widow during the funeral procession. Can you imagine the people in that procession? He was dead, but then not. Jesus also raised Lazarus.

Now, this is interesting. Lazarus had been dead and buried for 3 days. I can imagine the smell coming from his burial site. But Jesus raised him from the dead. I think I might be a little mad if I was enjoying myself in heaven, then suddenly pulled back to life. I might have a bit of an attitude.

But my point here is that nothing is impossible for our God. If He can raise Lazarus who had been dead for 3 days, He can fix what troubles us.

Have a fantastic day, everyone.
