“Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

(John 16:33 ESV)

Feel like a loser? That is a lie from the devil. We are overcomers. 

The devil wants us to feel like losers so we won’t pursue the things God has coming for us. If the devil can keep us discouraged, then he has an open door to come in, and cause mayhem and chaos in our lives. We don’t need mayhem and chaos in our lives. We can’t serve God if listening to the devil. We can’t serve two masters.

I prefer to serve God who loves me like no other. God never lets me down. His answers to my prayers are not always yes. Sometimes, He tells me no. But what good parent doesn’t sometimes tell their kids, no? Sometimes, it’s something they don’t need and possibly to keep them them getting hurt.

There are times when God tells us no because He has something better coming later. We can’t hurry God’s timing. God’s timing is perfect. Just remember that we are overcomers. We are not losers, no matter how you may feel at times.

So get into the mindset that you are an overcomer.
