“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

(1 John 4:16 ESV)

I couldn’t seem to do anything right yesterday. There were tears and the question why. God’s reply, “Take a deep breath and move on. I’m still with you.” While things did not immediately improve, I knew God was with me. He was holding me, loving me and drying my tears.

God is love. He loves us so much. I don’t know about you, but when I mess up, I feel like I have let God down. I just want to run and hide. But God wouldn’t let me. He was right there, reassuring me He has everything under control no matter what it looks like to me. Where I don’t see a way out, God sees the end result. He always has a way out before we have the problem.

Is there a problem too big for God to handle? Of course not. Our God is bigger than any problem we will ever face. So the next time the devil comes around and kicks you in the teeth like he did me yesterday, declare my God is bigger than any problem I will ever face. Then, tell the devil to take a hike.

I am holding fast to my anchor. The anchor is holding strong.
