Lost and Alone

by | Jan 8, 2024 | Alone, Lost, Salvation

“For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.”

(Psalm 27:10 ESV)

“Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28:20 ESV)

I watched a movie yesterday about parents lost on a mountain in a snowstorm. I got to thinking about it.

Lost can apply to a lot of us. No, we aren’t lost on a mountain in a snowstorm, but there are other ways to be lost. There have been times when I felt lost and alone, even in a crowd. Until I really get to know someone, I am basically a wall flower. The most important one is lost without Jesus in your life. Jesus can help you feel wanted and loved instead of lost and alone.

Jesus is the way to salvation. People say getting saved is hard. Getting saved is easy. Keeping from sinning is hard. We are only human. We make mistakes. But those mistakes can be forgiven if we just repent. Ask God for forgiveness. I repent daily. Like I said, I am human.

A book I was reading last night said, “The Greek word for repent means to turn around. And when we repent, God turns us in a new direction. We forsake the old ways because we’ve discovered a new and better way, a life of peace and joy.” So, do you feel lost and alone? Give your life to Jesus. Ask Him into your heart to live. So I encourage you to repent and ask Jesus into your heart today.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
