“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
(Colossians 1:16 ESV)
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
(Genesis 1:1 ESV)
I started reading Genesis yesterday morning. It told of how God created the world. I can see God leaning over blueprints and deciding what goes where. “Let’s see. Asia goes here. Let’s put Africa there. This area will be named later.”
Then He created foliage. God is really smart. He named all the trees and plants. I would have gotten tired of trying to come up with names of all the trees and plants. If I had named them, there would be some trees named Irving or Clyde. Plants might have names like Sylvia or Julie.
Then how about all the animals? He created some really beautiful animals, but did He really need mosquitoes, snakes, slugs, and flies. Or any bug for that matter.
He also created some really strange animals. Think about the platypus. I think it was made out of spare parts.
But God knew what He was doing. Look at a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Look for the rainbow after a rain. Or flowers.
God gave us a wonderful world to live in, but as wonderful and beautiful this world is, think how much more so heaven will be. I am looking forward to heaven. No more pain or illnesses. No stress or fighting. Just eternity in paradise. I hope to see you there. I will be front and center praising God. I will save you a seat.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
