Being Friendlier

“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

(Proverbs 27:17 ESV)

Have you noticed that people just seem friendlier this time of year? I was out and about yesterday, and people greeted me more. Many times, people have a frown on their faces, but when someone comes near, they smile and say hi. More people are saying Merry Christmas instead of happy holidays. It just seems friendlier this year. I don’t know what changed, but people are just friendlier.

It makes me wonder what got into some people. Or should I say who? Maybe Jesus got to them and changed hearts and attitudes. Jesus can do that. He did it to me. Once I fully committed myself to Him, He changed me. He changed my way of thinking, and He changed my heart. I did have to want Him to. He won’t do anything unless you want Him to.

Do you want peace? Do you want your heart softened? Then turn to Jesus. Allow Him to do a work in you.
